In a statement in Newsweek, a Bill Clinton spokesman denied Virginia Giuffre’s claims that the former president had gone to Jeffrey Epstein’s island with two “young girls”, assuring that he “never went there”. This response had already been made by Bill Clinton’s representatives in 2019.
Former US President Bill Clinton denies ever having visited the private island of the late billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, said his representative Angel Urena on his Twitter page.
In addition, his representative told Newsweek that Clinton had not contacted Jeffrey Epstein “for more than a decade” before the billionaire’s “terrible crimes” came to light.
Citing unsealed court documents, Newsweek magazine reported that Bill Clinton was spotted at the time by a witness on Jeffrey Epstein’s private island with “young girls”. The testimony came from Virginia Giuffre, an American who claimed to have been one of Epstein’s victims.
“I remember asking Jeffrey what Bill Clinton was doing here, and he laughed and said, ‘Well, he owes me favors.” “He never told me what those favors were. I never knew…. He told me that everybody owed him favors a long time ago”, says Virginia Giuffre in her testimony, according to Newsweek.
The regular passenger of the “Lolita express”
it’s not the first time that the links between Bill Clinton and Jeffrey Epstein are controversial. The former Democratic President is known to have been a regular passenger on the “Lolita Express”, a Boeing 727 privately owned by Epstein, suspected of carrying underage girls to the island of Little Saint James. According to the former Gawker website, Bill Clinton flew on this plane at least 11 times, including once with a pornographic actress.
Businessman Jeffrey Epstein, who committed suicide last year in prison, is accused of sexually assaulting several underage girls in his Caribbean archipelago. His links with several personalities from the political and cultural spheres have sparked controversy.
