Even the San Francisco Giants spent a lot of spring-training considering creative ways to make the most of center fielder Billy Hamilton’s elite rate. The Giants announced Sunday that they exchanged Hamilton as a swap for right-wing pitching prospect Jordan Humphreys, a 24-year-old who never prevailed over High-A from the little leagues.
