Returning to the super performance of the new Tesla Roadster, the video explains that to achieve this exceptional acceleration profile, the car will be equipped with a set of cold gas propellants usually used in the aerospace field by the company SpaceX. While Tesla‘s official description announced a gear change in 1.9 seconds, calculations by Jason Fenske, the man behind Engineering Explained, predict acceleration from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 1.1 seconds. To arrive at this result, he used various known information about the car, including its approximate weight of 2,000 kilograms and its acceleration force of 245 meters per square second.
In any case, Jason Fenske specified that the accuracy of his calculation will ultimately depend on the actual characteristics of the car since these are not yet known.
