HBO refuses to continue the series without Damon Lindelof
Watchmen Season 1 is officially the first, but also the last. Indeed, the series, based on the comics of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, will not be entitled to a second season, and this, at the risk of disappointing many fans. Indeed, the director of the series, Damon Lindelof, believes that he has told everything he had in mind.
So it’s official, there will be no Watchmen season 2. HBO categorically refuses to continue the series without Damon Lindelof. The director had announced on USA Today that he did not wish to continue the series. However, the director would have given his approval to HBO to continue the Watchmen adventure without him.

But the head of HBO programming, Casey Bloys, announced that the Watchmen series would not happen without Damon Lindelof. “It would be hard to imagine doing it without Damon being involved somehow.” he said. So season one of Watchmen will be the last season. Unless HBO or Damon Lindelof changes his mind. I don’t know.
That in itself might be a good decision, as Cord Jefferson tweeted: “Watchmen was one of the best moments of my professional life and I’m going to miss the show, but I think Damon made the right decision. »
And maybe Damon Lindelof doesn’t want to relive a criticized ending, like the one on Lost. In any case, the show has everything to please. And in only 8 episodes, Watchmen has managed to conquer the fans, whether they are comic book connoisseurs or simple neophytes.
